Those things that we spend 90%, if not 99.99999%, of our time, money, and effort on won’t do us any good in the end. They might not even do us any good before the end! With this in mind Jesus relates in the parable of the rich man and his store houses:
“But God said to him, ‘Fool! This night your soul will be required of you; then whose will those things be which you have provided?'”So is he who lays up treasure for himself, and is not rich toward God.” Luke 12:20-21
