As the Centurion, a soldier of soldiers, confessed, none is worthy no matter how nobly and faithfully they may have served their neighbors. If any were worthy, it wouldn’t be
• Gospel—good news for those in a bad way;
• Grace—a gift for the needy;
• Consolation for a troubled, even terrified soul.
